10 Best Swimsuit Models of the Past Decade
There have been thousands of beautiful swimwear models since the industry’s inception. Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer, Heidi Klum, Kathy Ireland, Tyra Banks, Rita Hayworth, and many others have become household names for their sheer beauty (and talent) in the modeling industry. Below, in no particular order, are ten of the last decade’s best swimsuit models. Some are seasoned veterans, while others have only just found their big break. Either way, they are all rockin’ their swimsuits.
The 2009 Swimsuit Edition cover is one of the most gorgeous women in modeling today. Her career has certainly not hit its peak yet, but she is a young model with great potential.
We have been graced by her beauty since 2002 when she first appeared in Sports Illustrated. She can be found in the pages of every Swimsuit Edition since then, to the dismay of no one.
With eight total appearances in the swimsuit model’s bible (Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Edition), she appeared on the cover as recently as 2004.
This Brazilian was picked up by a model management company during a Rio de Janeiro vacation with her sister. She has been modeling for elite fashion lines such as Dior, Armani, and Victoria’s Secret ever since.
This celebrity status model is known for her television roles as well as her involvement with Operation Smile. Her claim to fame is the appearance in a Swimsuit Edition wearing a bikini made with 30 million dollars worth of diamonds.
A Czech model, she was discovered during a nationwide talent search. Nemkova made it to the cover of the Swimsuit Edition once in 2003, and has graced the pages four other times.
A touch older than many of her colleagues, this Mexican model is far from past her prime. She has been modeling for over a decade and is still a hot commodity.
This Brazilian beauty is of Japanese and Portuguese decent, which gives her a very unique look, and makes her a hot commodity among modeling circles. She was discovered in a modeling tryout at the age of 17 and has not looked back since.
This young model must be mentioned simply because of her status as winner of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Model Search in 2005. This was a very short-lived show, but she came out on top and has been gaining fans ever since. Expect great things from Alicia Hall.
Finally, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition’s 2010 cover is the American blonde bombshell, Brooklyn Decker. There were thousands of pictures to choose from, but this being a recent widespread success, it should suffice. She is a very versatile model who has kept her swimsuit presence strong amid her booming celebrity status.
